Tommy Lee-1-819x1024Thomas Lee Bass is a Greek-American musician, and a founding member of the heavy metal group Motley Crue. Along with being the band's long-term drummer, Lee founded rap metal band Methods of Mayhem and has been involved in solo projects. Lee is a PETA advocate and an ardent advocate for animal rights. Lee wrote Terry Prather, SeaWorld's president to express his displeasure over Tilikum's treatment. Lee believed that the animal was free to roam and stated that SeaWorld will not comply considering that Tilikum is their most important sperm donor. Lee expressed his displeasure at SeaWorld's inept and bizarre method of obtaining Tilikum fertilm. Lee stated that he wanted to prevent more tragedies like trainers being killed as this was the result of the whales' inability to be held captive.
